Nutcracker Auditions

Auditions for Commonwealth Ballet’s The Nutcracker will be held on

Sunday, September 14th at Acton School of Ballet

Group 1 - ASB Level 3/4 or ages 9-11 12:00-1:30pm

Group 2 - ASB Level 5/6 or ages 12-14 1:45-3:15pm

Group 3 - ASB Level 7+/Advanced Ballet or ages 15-18 3:30-5:00pm

Pre-registration is required. Registration closes midnight, Friday, September 12th.

Please observe the following:

A fee of $30 is due upon registration.

1. Enter Acton School of Ballet through the main upstairs entrance door (between the buildings).

2. Arrive ready to dance: female-identifying dancers in a black leotard and pink tights, male-identifying dancers in white T-shirt and black tights. Group 3, bring pointe shoes if applicable.

3. Parents and other companions may enter the building to assist their dancer with sign-in. Absolutely no one will be allowed to linger in the lobby while the audition is in process.

4. Please do not wear any jewelry. Hair should be in a bun or neatly out of the face.

5. Bring a water bottle with you.

6. Merchandise will be sold in the upper lobby before and after each audition group. Cash or checks only.

Results will be emailed by Wednesday September 17, if you are cast as a Clara, Fritz, Party Children, Mouse, or Soldier.  All other role results will be announced by Friday September 19. If accepted, a mandatory parent meeting will be held Sunday, September 21.
